Open USD is live on BVNK

Open USD (OUSD) is now live across BVNK. As part of Mastercard – a founding member of the Open Standard consortium – BVNK provides customers with a direct integration path to mint, redeem, hold, send and receive OUSD, with seamless 1:1 conversion against USD balances.

This launch brings us another step closer to our vision: one trusted network for every form of money. For our customers, that means access to enterprise-grade payment stablecoins, blockchain networks and traditional payment infrastructure, through a single operating layer. 

A new economic model for stablecoins

Open USD represents a fundamental shift in how stablecoin infrastructure works. Backed by a consortium of over 200 industry leaders, including Mastercard, Stripe, BlackRock and Coinbase, OUSD is a stablecoin designed explicitly for enterprise-scale payments.

Rather than relying on a single issuer that retains 100% of reserve revenue, Open USD operates on an open-infrastructure model. It removes fee friction by offering zero-cost minting and redemption. Strategic oversight sits with Open Standard, an independent entity governed collaboratively by its partner ecosystem.

Powering payment use cases on BVNK

BVNK now provides direct access to OUSD across Ethereum, Solana, Base and Tempo, giving finance and operations teams the flexibility to optimize their transactions.

You can access OUSD across all of our integration models:

• Direct (for business operations): Access directly through our platform and API for your own business payments and treasury. Send, receive, convert, store.
  
• Embedded (for customer applications): Package OUSD into your own product or user experience via API. Offer your users multi-currency wallets, pay-ins, payouts.
  
• Wholesale access: For exchanges, OTC desks and market makers, BVNK provides direct 1:1 mint and burn access. Through Virtual IBANs (VIBANs) and automated rules, wholesale partners can execute high-volume fiat-to-OUSD conversions under standardized terms.
